Business Printing

Business Printing Techniques
There are 2 most widely used business printing techniques in the printing business:
- Offset Press Printing Services
- Gravure Printing Services
Business Printing Using Offset Press
This is the most widely used business printing technique. The ink is transferred from a plate to a rubber blanket. The rubber blanket works as the relay point from which the ink is further placed onto the printing surface. The technique often uses chemical properties of water and oil. The blank section of the printing surface attracts the water. This, in turn, repels the ink. On the other hand , the oiled areas attract the ink which produces a text or an image. Most business printers employ this method for large jobs. This includes large volumes of books and newspapers.
Business Printing Using Gravure
This is a more expensive business printing technique. It uses small depression in the surface of the template to create an image. The depressions are then filled with an ink, providing a high quality product. In essence, this business printing technique resembles methods of 15th century Johannes Gutenberg's invention. However, these days the plates are prepared by super fast digital engraving or laser etching. Nonetheless, the Gravure technology is still expensive and applies to the selective quality print services.

Printing for Business
The business printing still enjoys a global success. This indicates that despite the Internet, there is still huge market for a printed product. It is true that, nowadays, less people send cards and the mail. However, innovations in the custom printed promotional items, and the reduced price of compiling catalogues still boosts the printing market for years to come. Business cards account for a very large stake in the business printing. But it is the high gloss adverts, ballot papers and the catalogues which bring the real income to the business printers.
